Uncle Noah wants... YOU

While I don't look nearly as good in a designer red dress ( I presume), I want to get people motivated as well. If I can start a walking regimen, I think you can too. Therefore, I challenge anyone reading this blog, to join me in some sort of exercise activity. Not only will it benefit you, it will allow you to make fun of Glen Beck. Sorry, sorry I didn't want to tell you what to do...

There are people in the country.... the ones that tell us which god to pray to, or who we can and can not love, or tell us what we can or can not do in our own homes...

Those people don't want anyone to promote exercise or healthy eating, because that is a grave infringement on personal liberties... so lest I upset them... Don't feel any pressure from this post, or the ranting of this middle aged man.

Crescent City Classic Training

I'm not certain if it is because of the new year, or because middle age is coming upon me. Either way I've determined that I will be following the training regimen for the Crescent City Classic 10K road race.

Today, I completed day 3 by walking to pick up my daughter at kindergarten and in the process completed a route of .62 miles. The weather is nice here, so it really isn't a big problem, yet.

The more that I think about it, I'm quite certain that this has very little to do with the fact that getting up off the couch during halftime of the Packers-Bears game wasn't supposed to hurt that much.

Somethings are just obvious

Subject: No more shootings, no more hate

In the wake of the mass shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and 19 others in Tucson, we must end the violent rhetoric that has exploded in American politics over the past two years.

That's why I signed this petition calling on every member of Congress, as well as the major TV news networks, to put an end to any overt or implied appeals to violence in our political debate.
